For those of you that follow me or read my articles in this amazing platform, Fresh Lifestyle magazine, you know how passionate I am about women’s equality and empowerment.  More importantly, moms on the move calling shots; whether it is exploring momtrepreneurialship, being a boss at work, being the boss at home, or simply working hard while keeping it altogether.  Now more so than ever, during some of the most catastrophic storms our nation has seen, women must help one another.  Some families have lost absolutely everything, including their jobs; left with no clue regarding how to start over. There are some women who may have been affected by hurricane Harvey, Irma, Jose, and Maria that are seriously thinking about branching out and starting their own business but don’t know where to start.  Sadly, it could be a neighbor and you know what that person needs to do but are not willing to reach out and help. Strangely enough there is something ingrained in the minds of some women that there is not enough “female driven” success to go around.  There is a notion that ones’ limelight is threatened or glass ceiling may crack if another woman is helped who aspires to do something similar to which she has earned success.  The truth is that the threat is nonexistent. That little thing called karma does not only work when negative things are put into the atmosphere; the same theory applies when positive seeds are planted, we just refer to them as blessings.

Fronting as though and actually supporting women’s empowerment is two entirely different things.  It is of great disservice to claim support if your words are not equal to your actions.  We complain about inequality in the workplace, especially in regards to salary. Many of us are disgusted with the fact that we have to constantly compete with our male cohorts in the same position just to prove we deserve it, yet alone that we are doing a better job and deserve a raise. Then to deal with the competition among our own sex, it is getting too grand!  Please do not misunderstand my message or my intent, never stop competing in the workplace to prove your worth, you should be paid for it.  But really, that should be the only place or thing we need to be competing for and against.  Women, it is truly time to support one another, encourage one another, help another woman bring their dream into fruition, and most important love and respect other women!

To support my continued efforts as well as create an opportunity to help other women who may be seeking to make advances in their life, Twin Tested Mother Approved will selling T’s beginning October 9th .  A Portion of the proceeds will be donated to women in shelters looking for a new start. The premiere style is pictured below, more styles can be found & sold at www.twintestedmotherapproved.com.

I am even more excited to announce my daughters and their best friend’s new business Sewing Seeds!  They will be donating a portion of their proceeds to less fortunate children.  These artistic beauties will be making tote bags, pillows, and more.  Their merchandise can be found & sold at www.sewingseeds.net. Sewing Seeds will be doing a soft launch on October 23rd, 2017.

A fresh start is what many of us need right now whether we are displaced or recovering assets from a hurricane; everyone needs a helping hand every now and then.
