Being in a State of Thankfulness

Have you ever done something for others and they, intentionally or not, didn’t say, “Thank you?” Children often do this, but as adults, it’s just expected. This non-responsive behavior may result in us, not wanting to do anything else for them again. Why is that? It’s because they appeared to be ungrateful and unappreciative for what was done for them.

Well, I thank God, that He doesn’t treat us this way! God has done so much for the human race and some people have a tendency to take Him for granted. We ought to take heed to His Word and be thankful, grateful and joyful, for all that He has done for us! In 2 Corinthians 4:15, it states, For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.”

Life is full of experiences and we can definitely learn from them. They can either be a “lesson” or a “blessing,” and with each one, we can grow for the better.  In my own life’s journey, I have learned that everyone has a story and we may not know why people do or say certain things. So regardless of one’s actions, it’s important to stay positive and be thankful to God that we can even give.

Having a thankful heart will not only keep the heart and attitude in a positive manner, but it will also keep us in position and open to receive more. In Psalm 28:7, it states, ”The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him.” Our God is so good and faithful to us and He is so worthy of our praise and thanksgiving.

Are you someone in need of extra strength, right now? Do you feel overwhelmed by the issues of life? If you feel like you can’t take it another day, I’ve got some Good News for you! God has a timely Word, to see you through. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, it states, In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” God cares for you and giving thanks to Him, will bless you!

God doesn’t want you worried and stressed out about anything. He knows that when you’re keeping a thankful heart, you will allow Him to move on your behalf. God knows that while you are thanking HIM, you are not focusing on the “Problem,” but you are focusing on the “Promise!”

As we enter into this “Season of Thanksgiving,” let us remain in the state of thankfulness. Staying positive and full of the Word, will keep our disposition and attitude right, before God. It will also allow God to continue to meet our needs and desires. So lets submit to God, today! He’s not only ready to bless us, but He’s also ready to use us, to bless others. Give Thanks with a Grateful heart! Glory to God!
